Paramedic Services Week, National Nursing Week and National Public Safety
Telecommunications Week are weeks to celebrate the profession of
emergency medical services – to promote health and safety, and recognize the
contributions of those professionals who spend their days working on the front
lines of health care.
Ambulance New Brunswick (ANB)’s primary care paramedics,
emergency medical dispatchers and critical care flight nurses celebrate
by demonstrating that commitment to community by organizing events around
the province. Those activities included school visits (so children learn about
calling 911 and how their ambulance system works), blood pressure and blood
glucose clinics, hands-only CPR instruction sessions, flag raising ceremonies
and more (as they do all year long).
Paramedic Services Week
Celebrates the paramedics who provide life-saving interventions “on the scene”
and safely transport patients to hospital.
We say thank you to the flight nurses who treat some of the province’s
most critically-injured patients at 250mph, thousands of feet in the air.
Public Safety Telecommunications Week
We Celbrate the dispatchers who respond to 911 calls for medical emergencies
and get help to patients quickly.
