AMBULANCE NEW BRUNSWICK STAFF SAVES MONCTON MAN’S LIFE

MONCTON — A Moncton man, who suffered a heart attack at his house on January 2nd 2009, was saved after quick intervention by Ambulance New Brunswick Staff.

When John Carter, 77 years old, suffered a heart attack, a member of his family immediately contacted emergency services (911).  The ambulance dispatcher coached family members present to perform CPR prior to the arrival of the ambulance. The ambulance arrived shortly after resulting in a positive outcome for Mr. Carter.

It is important to note that every second counts for a person going through a cardiac arrest.  For every minute that passes chances of survival decrease by 10%.  Because of everyone’s efforts, since his release from hospital, Mr. Carter is enjoying the same standard of living as prior to his cardiac arrest.

Due to the exceptional work of 911 Dispatcher Diane Gale and Paramedics
Paul Lirette and Denis Roberge, this man’s life was saved!  Mr. Carter is very grateful.
